Wheelchair Accessibility

The wheelchair accessibility subdomain exclusively captures park and playground features that are accessible to individuals in wheelchairs. Some of these features are accessible from the wheelchair while others require a transfer, typically to a supportive seat. However, all of these features offer individuals in wheelchairs better access to park and playground affordances that promote motor and sensory development.

The wheelchair accessibility subdomain is composed of the following ten categories: surface, structure, touch, hear, swing, slide, spin, rock, zip, and restroom.
